New Business
Eastman AGM Recap

• Presentation for Novice half ice and implementation. Presentation available on Hockey Manitoba site.
• Novice to move to full ice after Jan.1 2018, associations may opt to keep half ice remainder of the season. Two officials to be utilized in half ice games.
• Intention is to make Pee Wee AA permanent part of EMHA.
• Bantam Summit has been initiated to review Bantam AA boundaries and discuss Bantam AAA teams in Eastman.
• Telus Cup recap four Scholarships of $500 were handed out to 12 applications that were submitted. Final report will be presented at Eastman Fall AGM.
• Motion carried to continue development programs for Pee Wee and Bantam AA Levels, adding a $100 cost for each player to all associations.
•  New positions voted on were Director Ken Kutzak, Vice Director- Female Brad Kirk acclaimed, Secretary Jen Hoffman, Referee in Chief-Nick Grenier, Member at Large- Paul Magnan.
• Regional maps provided to each association with new boundaries.

 
 Presentation of Budget – Darryl Rempel

• Presentation included two budgets, Budget #1 new evaluation and one with original evaluation plan. Budget #1 includes new group to do evaluations in smaller groups and provide a report card of each player’s evaluation.  Old evaluation doesn’t provide results for how evaluators came up with their selections.

 
Motion to accept fee for any child who is registering to try out for either A or B teams for the 2017-2018 season. If child wishes to play on the C team they will not require to pay the evaluation fee.  Motion to Adopted Christie Spencer 2^nd Darryl Rempel…Carried
 

• Motion to increases rates to Novice and Atom this year. Motion to Adopted Christie Spencer 2^nd Christa Cooper.

 

• Motion to accept new budge with new evaluation which includes report cards for each player. Motion to Adopted Travis Mason 2nd Jason Hudson …Motion Carried

 
Squirts Age & Flow of Teams

• Board discussed pros and cons on combining 4, 5 and 6.
• 4-6 year old limit to register for squirts.
• Made a decision that the squirts program requires an organizer, which will be decide at next meeting.
• Motion to hosting a Jamboree for 2017-2018 season date TBA. Motion Adopted Jason Hudson 2^nd Christie Spencer.

 
Novice and Atom development

• Looked at cost to bring development programs in for Novice and Atom groups. Cost would raise registration to levels that aren’t lined up with other associations.
• Look at bringing in power skating or training group like GT.

Motion to bring development program for Novice and Atom by increasing registration fees. Motion to Adopted Travis Mason- Not Carried
 
Peewee AA Bantam AAA Summit

• Decide on direction of club vote for upcoming summit vote for two AA Peewee Teams. Vote in favor to not have a 2^nd team AA Peewee team.
• Discussion to decide what direction to vote to have a Bantam AAA team. All in favor to vote yes to have Eastman include a Eastman AAA team for 2017-2018 season

Registration Opening and Close

• Compare online registration vs face to face registration.
• Choose open and close dates for registration. Registration is opening June 5^th closing July 15^th.
• Late fee for registration to come in effect July 16^th to Evaluation camp.
• Registration rules only apply to current members.

Web Site up Keep

• Try to give the website a new look to match Eastman’s template.
• Agreed to put email request out to membership to ask for volunteer to be website master.

Female Hockey Rep

• Made decision to approach a few members for director of Female hockey as the programs are becoming more and more popular within Eastman.
• Brought forward for discussion that IDC is looking to form a female Novice team for regionals.  Email has been sent out to all members that qualify.

 
Eastman Boundary Realignment

• Eastman changed boundaries from 2016-2017 seasons.
• Eastman has allowed for grandfather clause for people effected by boundary change to stay with current clubs.
• People who want to stay with current clubs have to fill request form out by Aug.15^th 2017.
• Email will be sent out to membership to make individuals aware of boundary changes.

 
Round Table

Motion to close road hockey account and Rec hockey account. Motion to Adopted Heather Knip 2^nd Christa cooper.

Evaluation and conditioning dates TBA as it will depend on when town of Niverville will have dates for booking.
